After just being blasted with another snow storm March 1st and 2nd, all I can think about is the old wives tale regarding March. March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb. I am hoping that that is true and in the next couple of weeks all this snow will melt and spring will come early. I do remember one March a few years back when it got up to 80 degree's one day, of course it was back down to the 40's the next but we are in New England after all. After the long winter we have had I guess everyone including myself just wishes spring will hurry up and get here already.

If you are into plating and grinding then you should take a look at the article on precisionmachiningpro.com. The article talks about hand chrome plating which is not the same as regular chrome plating.
It explains what grinding is, which is a type of cutting using an abrasive wheel as a blade. I found the article to be informative and give some good tips on what types of plating to use. For example Cadmium is toxic and should not be used on boats because of the danger of killing fish and other marine life because it resists saltwater. So if you are into this sort of stuff I think you will enjoy this site. There were some other articles on site that you may find interesting as well.

Having just joined the facebook craze I must say that it is a fun experience. It is neat to be in touch with people that you have not heard from for 25 plus years. I like the idea of getting on line and seeing what an old friend is up to. There is a place where you can say what you are doing right now which I enjoy reading what my new found friends are doing..Some people are reporting mundane things like doing laundry or trying to make peanut butter, I think it’s a hoot.

With the New Year come all these resolutions on exercising and dieting. But the bottom line is you just need to eat right. There is a article that gives some advice on just that.
I found the article very interesting. It talks about the basics of eating right, meaning the food pyramid. If you stick to the food pyramid you can eat healthy. So if you need a refresher course on the pyramid then I suggest you visit this site. It also says that eating out does not mean you can't eat healthy and even challenges people to eat healthy for a month, following the guidelines of the pyramid. Give it a try and you may be surprised just how good you will feel.  |
